New varieties



At our demonstration field new varieties of the following crops can be seen: onion, leek, carrot, fennel, radish, spinach, white cabbage, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, cauliflower and pointed headed cabbage. These new varieties are placed among our current assortment.

Hysky
Early Rijnsburger. Produces very firm, round onions with a strong root system. Hysky has a very high skin quality and is suitable for long term storage. In conditions with low pressure of Fusarium, Hysky is less susceptible.

Hystore
Late Rijnsburger with strong root system for continental growing conditions. A very productive variety. Hystore is suitable for long term storage and has a high skin quality with strong skin retention. High sprouting tolerance and intermediate resistance to Pinkroot (IR Pt).

Hyfive
Late Rijnsburger for long term storage. The bulbs are firm with an excellent skin. Very strong against sprouting.

Pitcher
Upright leek variety for late summer and early autumn. Less susceptible to Thrips and Alternaria (IR Ap). Pitcher produces firm, medium long shanks. Approx. 110 growing days after planting.

Curling
For late autumn and early winter cultivation. Curling is a steady growing variety with dark leaves. The shaft is medium long, with a sharp transition from white to green. Curling has a good standing ability, is easy to harvest and has a high pack out percentage after cleaning. Approx. 115 growing days, with a good standing ability for late harvest.

Norfolk
Mid early Nantes for fresh market and medium term storage. Vigorous variety with dark, erect and strong foliage. High yield of uniform, slightly conical carrots. Approx. 109 growing days. Norfolk is less susceptible to Cavity spot.

Mid early Nantes, suitable for continental climates. Natuna produces very smooth, cilindrical carrots. Vigorous variety with strong and erect foliage. Suitable for fresh market and medium term storage.

Very productive, late Chantenay with an intense internal colour. Very productive variety with strong and healthy foliage. Approx. 134 growing days.

Very smooth Kuroda/Nantes type. Produces conical, well filled carrots with a very intense internal colour. Very vigorous variety with strong, erect foliage. Approx. 110 growing days.

     
  Fennel
Antares
High round variety for long day areas. Antares is an mid early variety with high bolting tolerance. Well suited for late summer and autumn for North Western Europe. Approx. 72 growing days after transplanting.



     
  Radish
Rosetta
Medium top variety with upright foliage and good implant. Produces bright red, round bulbs (2,5-3,5cm) with a small tale. Strong against bleeding, sponginess and splitting. Especially suitable for spring and autumn sowings.

Tall top variety with dark, erect foliage. Very vigorous. Rochas has a strong leaf implantation and produces big bulbs (4-6 cm). The bulbs are firm with bright red colour. Strong against bleeding and sponginess.

Very early Oriental type. High resistant to Mildew races 1-7, 11 and 13 (HR Pf 1-7, 11 and 13). This variety produces pointed shaped, smooth leaves with a dark green colour. A vigorous and high yielding variety, suitable for bunching.

Smooth variety for spring, summer and autumn cultivation. High resistant to Mildew races 1-13 (HR Pf 1-13). The leaves are round and smooth with a dark green colour.

Bruno
Bronco type cabbage for fresh market purposes. Bruno is high resistant to Fusarium (HR Fo) and intermediate resistant to Xanthomonas (IR Xcc). Produces dense, round heads.

Very early variety for fresh market purposes. Produces nice round heads. More uniform than Primero. Approx. 78 growing days after transplanting.

Vigorous variety for industry and short term storage. Bandolero has an upright growing habit and is very productive. The heads have a dark red colour, are highround and dense. Bandolero is strong against internal tipburn. Approx. 118 growing days after transplanting.

Very vigorous and healthy variety for late autumn and early winter harvest. Gloriosa is productive and uniform. The heads are round and medium dense. Approx. 125 growing days after transplanting

A vigorous variety for late summer and early autumn harvest. Liria produces round, heavy curds. Strong plants with a good self covering habit. Approx. 79 growing days after transplanting.

Second early broccoli for fresh market purposes. Malibu produces medium sized, round domes with medium fine beads. Approx. 68 growing days after transplanting. Malibu is susceptible for blindness. Not for earliest sowings. North Western Europe; sowing after mid February.

Very suitable for autumn and winter cultivation in Mexico. For North Western Europe; late summer and autumn cultivation. Well suited for organic crop.  The heads are big and round with medium fine beads. Approx. 75 growing days after transplanting.

A vigorous, mid early variety for fresh market purposes and industry. Fado is very uniform and produces medium pointed heads. Approx. 75 growing days after transplanting.
